The 9th IMWA Congress will be held in Oviedo (Asturias, North-western Spain) from September 5th to the 7th 2005.

The International Mine Water Association (IMWA) was founded in 1979 in Granada (Spain), in response to a growing interest in problems associated with water in the mining industry. IMWA runs the journal “Mine water and the environment” (Springer) and through PADRE is a member of the Global Alliance and the International Network of Acid Prevention.
