The "Príncipe Felipe" Congress Hall-Auditorium was inaugurated in spring 1999.
Its opening was a turning point for bussiness tourism in the city of Oviedo and marked a crossroads for the hotel, catering and service sectors that have experienced significant development over recent years.
The impact of this modern facility is reflected by the multitude of events it has held since it opened: over seven years it has housed 466 congress, 3477 conferences, 1600000 participants and almost eleven thousand events. Last year alone it organised 83 congresses and conventions and five hundred conferences, attended by 350000 people.
