Lecturers
We have the regular collaboration of doctors from several departments: Spanish
Philology, Classical and Romance Philology, French and Anglo-German Philology,
and History. These lecturers specialize
in subjects such as Spanish Language, English-Spanish Translation, French-Spanish
Translation, German-Spanish Translation, Italian-Spanish Translation and Spanish
History.
We also have the open collaboration of lecturers from other departments,
such as Geography, Public Law, Applied Economics, Art and Musicology, Biochemistry
and Molecular Biology, etc., who participate in specific courses and programs
related to their field of expertise. Recent graduates and senior university students
collaborate on the recreational activities, which focus on different aspects of
the Spanish society and culture.
Teaching Coordination
and Research Team
The Center of Spanish Teaching
for Foreign Students at the University of Oviedo also has a Teaching Coordination
and Research Team with a long experience in the preparation of their own materials.

The Spanish Courses for Foreigners are taught at most campuses
of the University of Oviedo:
In Oviedo: «El Milán» Campus (Spanish Language and Culture
Courses), «El Cristo» Campus (Courses for Erasmus students).
In Gijón:
Central Campus (Courses for Erasmus students), and Viesques-Universidad Laboral
Campus (Summer Courses).

The University of Oviedo was founded in 1574 and began its teaching activities in 1608.
Since 1978 the University has been holding Spanish Language and Culture Courses for Foreigners. Over the past twenty-five years we have developed a solid and efficient infrastructure fully integrated in the university framework.
We put at your disposal the means that will enable you to further your education as well as to enjoy our region in the same conditions as Spanish students. |
SPORTS
All types of sports, ranging from the most common (football, basketball, handball,
volleyball, tennis, athletics...) to other more specific ones such as fencing,
judo, tai-chi, archery or yoga.
LIBRARY
AND MEDIA LIBRARY:
All students have free access to the University Library
and Media Library, formed by an important resource base and diverse special materials
(maps, journals, tapes, CDs, etc...).
VIDEO
LIBRARY
A perfectly well prepared room in which you can not only see your
favourite films in DVD or in video, but also take them home on loan to enjoy them
over the weekend.
INTERNET AND E-MAIL
Students at the University will have access, free of charge,
to Internet and e-mail.
