Entre los días 25 y 27 de septiembre, la Universidad de Oviedo acogerá un congreso sobre «Gobernanza, confianza y cultura del riesgo». El evento se celebra a iniciativa del proyecto «Concepto y dimensiones de la cultura del riesgo», del grupo de investigación en Estudios Sociales de la Ciencia de la Universidad de Oviedo, en colaboración con el CIEMAT (Madrid), la Universidad de Valladolid, el Centro de Investigación y Estudios de Sociología del Instituto Universitario de Lisboa y otras instituciones. Su intención es reunir a personas con experiencia en diferentes campos (filosofía, biología, educación, salud, política, administración pública, derecho, deporte, arte, industria, periodismo, telecomunicaciones, …) para debatir sobre las complejas relaciones entre confianza, riesgo y conocimiento científico-tecnológico. No se trata de ofrecer una serie de conferencias, sino de establecer verdaderos diálogos entre profesionales de distintos ámbitos, en un formato dinámico.
In September 2017, between the 25th and the 27th, the University of Oviedo (Spain) will be hosting an international conference on ‘Governance, Trust, and Risk Culture’. The conference is an initiative of the project ‘Concept and Dimensions of Risk Culture’, held by the research group in Social Studies of Science of the University of Oviedo, in cooperation with the CIEMAT (Madrid), the University of Valladolid, the Centre for Research and Studies in Sociology of the University Institute of Lisbon, and other institutions. Our intention is to bring together experts and practitioners from different fields (philosophy, biology, education, health, politics, public administration, law, transport, art, sports, food industry, journalism…) to debate about the complex relations between trust, risk, and scientific and technological knowledge.
