This figure illustrates the
distribution of human and mouse proteases in different families, and
allows comparisson of human/mouse differences in protease content. It
represents an unrooted phylogenetic tree of human and mouse proteases,
divided in 63 different families. Each catalytic class is represented by
a different colour: yellow, aspartyl proteases; blue, cysteine
proteases; green, metalloproteases; red, serine proteases, and violet,
threonine proteases. In the inner circle, mouse-specific proteases are
shown as red lines, while human-specific proteases are shown as blue
lines.
