experimental sites

  1.  ALE: Alentejo (SW Portugal): Alentejo e Costa Vicentina (SW Portugal): Coastal stripe and coastal islands situated between 37°58’N and 36°59’W. Contains the following Natura 2000 sites: COSTA SUDOESTE SIC (PTCON0012) and COSTA SUDOESTE ZPE (PTZPE0015) (also part of the Parque Natural do Sudoeste Alentejano e Costa Vicentina, PNSACV).
  2. AGA: Atlantic Galicia (NW Spain). This coast is situated between 43º26’N and 41º52′ N contains the following Natura 2000 sites: Illas Cíes SCI-SPA (ES0000001), Complexo Ons-Grove SCI (ES1140004), Complexo Húmido de Corrubedo SCI (ES1110006) (also part of the Parque Nacional Marítimo-Terrestre de las Islas Atlánticas de Galicia), the Illas Estelas SCI (ES1140012) and the Costa da Vela SCI (ES1140010), Espacio marino de las Rias Baixas de Galicia SPA (ES0000499), Monte Lagoa de Louro SCI (ES1110012), Carnota-Monte Pindo SCI (ES1110008), Costa da Morte SCI (ES1110005) and Espacio marino de la Costa da Morte SPA (ES 0000497).
  3. WAS: West Coast of Asturias (N Spain). This stripe of coast is situated situated between 5º 50′ W and 7º 0′ W contains or is close to the following Natura 2000 sites: Cabo Busto-Luanco SCI (ES 1200055), the Cabo Busto-Luanco SPA (ES 0000318), Cañón de Avilés SCI (ESZZ12003; recently poposed as SCI by Spain) and  Cabo Peñas SPA (ES0000494).
  4. SBRI: South Brittany (North of the Bay of Biscay, France). Coastal stripe and coastal islands situated between 2°20’W and 5°20’W. This study area forms probably one cohesive unit in terms of available suitable habitats and connectivity. Contains the following Natura 200 sites: Iroise marine park, the SAC Chaussée de Sein (FR53022007), the SAC Archipel des Glénan (FR5300023), the SAC Roches de Penmarch (FR5302008), the SAC Dune et Côte de Trévignon (FR5300049), the SAC Ile de Groix (FR5300031) and the SAC Belle-Ile (FR5300032).
