In keeping with tradition, two types of activities related to the job market for economists will take place at the Simposio:
- interviews between candidates and institutions
- presentations of papers by candidates
Candidates interested in participating in this market can send their papers on-line to this address up until the 9th of September, 2006. Articles should be sent in a single PDF file of maximum size 2MB. Candidates interested in being interviewed by institutions should get in contact directly with those institutions.

Also, the Spanish Economic Association (Asociación Española de Economía) is promoting the web page "Job Market for Research Economists" (JORE), which can be consulted at:

Candidates (institutions) who are seeking (offering) jobs for economists with post-graduate education can register themselves on this web page. The "Job Market for Research Economists (JORE)" web page is open to candidates and institutions from anywhere in the world, independently of whether they attend the Simposio or not. Interested candidates and institutions should therefore sign up to the "Job Market for Research Economists (JORE)" page separately.
