We are interested in studying some  viruses (mainly caliciviruses and myxoma virus) and animal parasites (Fasciola hepatica; Hypoderma lineatum) from a molecular point of view.  

Our aim  is to identify  pathogen components which could be useful for the design of new and improved diagnostic and vaccine methods. We also intend the functional and structural characterisation of some virus or parasite key proteins which could be the basis for a better understanding of the pathogen/host interplay and the starting point for a rational design  of new, more especific and cost-efective antiviral-antiparasite treatments.
