RESEARCH LINES

Molecular Histopathology Unit in Animal Models of IUOPA born in 2002 as an extension of the Biobank of Central University Hospital of Asturias (Spain).

This laboratory is a common service that can make use members of IUOPA and staff of the University of Oviedo. With the same benefits as a service of Pathology, the Unit is responsible for the processing of samples and subsequent histological study.

GROUP HEAD BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Aurora Astudillo is Pathologist and chief of Pathology Department of Central University Hospital of Asturias (Spain), professor at the University of Oviedo and chief executive of the Asturias Oncology Institute since 2013. In addition, she manages the Biobank of Central University Hospital of Asturias (Spain) and many doctoral thesis. She is involved in multiple research´s groups.
