fusion-text-2\"><p align=\"justify\">Estas investigaciones se realizan bien a nivel del propio Servicio, o bien en grupos cooperativos nacionales (como son el Grupo Oncol\u00f3gico del Norte y el Grupo Espa\u00f1ol de Investigaci\u00f3n en Sarcomas y otros que se se\u00f1alan en los proyectos de investigaci\u00f3n) o internacionales, como el grupo de tumores digestivos (Dr. Lacave, Dr. Vieitez) o\u00a0de tumores ginecol\u00f3gicos (Dr. Lacave),\u00a0integrados dentro de la Organizaci\u00f3n Europea para la Investigaci\u00f3n y Tratamiento del C\u00e1ncer (EORTC).<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Otra faceta del grupo es la investigaci\u00f3n aplicada (\u00abtranslational research\u00bb) que abarca tres \u00e1reas: la Unidad de Farmacocin\u00e9tica, bajo la responsabilidad de Raquel Losa, enfocada al estudio de la interacci\u00f3n de f\u00e1rmacos antineopl\u00e1sicos y a su farmacocin\u00e9tica; la Unidad de Cultivo de Tumores, enfocada fundamentalmente al estudio del carcinoma de ovario y a pruebas de sensibilidad \u00abin vitro\u00bb, desarrollada por Marta Sierra; en relaci\u00f3n con el melanoma maligno, en colaboraci\u00f3n con el Servicio de Inmunolog\u00eda, Rebeca Alonso investiga aspectos de esta enfermedad como los mecanismos de acci\u00f3n del Interferon, la neoangiog\u00e9nesis o la importancia de la Interleukina-10 como factor
