fusion-text-1\"><p><strong>Descripci\u00f3n<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p>El objetivo de la asignatura Bios\u00edntesis de Mol\u00e9culas Antitumorales es aportar una visi\u00f3n de la oncolog\u00eda desde el punto de vista del tratamiento de los tumores, pero mostrando el proceso de identificaci\u00f3n y generaci\u00f3n de nuevas sustancias con actividad citot\u00f3xica que puedan en el futuro ser utilizadas en cl\u00ednica para el tratamiento de patolog\u00edas neopl\u00e1sicas. Esta visi\u00f3n complementa los contenidos de otras asignaturas del M\u00e1ster Biomedicina y Oncolog\u00eda Molecular ampliando el campo de visi\u00f3n de la oncolog\u00eda y enfoc\u00e1ndolo al originen de los compuestos antitumorales. Asimismo se pondr\u00e1 especial \u00e9nfasis en la caracterizaci\u00f3n de estos compuestos y en las posibilidades de la t\u00e9cnica actual para generar derivados con actividades mejoradas o con menores efectos secundarios. La asignatura est\u00e1 estructurada en clases te\u00f3ricas y pr\u00e1cticas. Las clases te\u00f3ricas tratan de mostrar las diferentes estrategias disponibles para la identificaci\u00f3n y el aislamiento de agrupamientos g\u00e9nicos involucrados en la bios\u00edntesis de productos naturales con potenciales propiedades terap\u00e9uticas en el tratamiento del c\u00e1ncer, as\u00ed como las aproximaciones mediante ingenier\u00eda gen\u00e9tica para generar nuevos compuestos antitumorales. Las clases pr\u00e1cticas permitir\u00e1n al alumno la ejecuci\u00f3n de algunas de las estrategias tanto de aislamiento y caracterizaci\u00f3n inicial de nuevos compuestos como el aislamiento de rutas metab\u00f3licas implicadas en la bios\u00edntesis de compuestos antitumorales producidos por microorganismos. Se establecer\u00e1n discusiones sobre los resultados obtenidos y sobre posibles estrategias tanto de identificaci\u00f3n como de manipulaci\u00f3n de rutas de bios\u00edntesis concretas. Adem\u00e1s, cada alumno deber\u00e1 leer y participar en la discusi\u00f3n de art\u00edculos recientemente publicados y de inter\u00e9s para la asignatura. La evaluaci\u00f3n de la asignatura se realizar\u00e1 por medio de un examen escrito cuya nota representara el 50% de la nota final. Se valorar\u00e1 adem\u00e1s la participaci\u00f3n en las pr\u00e1cticas de laboratorio (30% de la nota final) y la participaci\u00f3n en las sesiones de discusi\u00f3n del material bibliogr\u00e1fico (20% de la nota final). La asistencia a las clases pr\u00e1cticas y la discusi\u00f3n del material bibliogr\u00e1fico ser\u00e1 de car\u00e1cter obligatorio.
