margin-left:0px!important;}}<\/style><div class=\"fusion-title title fusion-title-2 fusion-sep-none fusion-title-text fusion-title-size-two\" style=\"font-size:20px;margin-top:0px;margin-right:0px;margin-bottom:31px;margin-left:0px;\"><h2 class=\"title-heading-left fusion-responsive-typography-calculated\" style=\"margin:0;font-size:1em;letter-spacing:0px;--fontSize:20;--minFontSize:20px;line-height:1.3;\"><span style=\"font-family: Roboto Slab;\">El trabajo ha sido liderado por la investigadora del Instituto Universitario de Oncolog\u00eda del Principado, Isabel Quir\u00f3s, y ser\u00e1 desarrollado en los laboratorios de la Universidad de Cambridge y de la Universidad de Oviedo<\/span><\/h2><\/div><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-1\"><p class=\"first-paragraph txt\">Investigadores de las\u00a0<strong>universidades de\u00a0Oviedo\u00a0y de Cambridge<\/strong>\u00a0han utilizado una tecnolog\u00eda de imagen pionera para predecir la respuesta a tratamientos antitumorales en<strong>\u00a0c\u00e1ncer de mama<\/strong>, que podr\u00eda afianzarse como una nueva alternativa, de bajo coste y toxicidad, para monitorizar a pacientes en terapia.<\/p>\n<p class=\"txt\">Este trabajo muestra el potencial de esta nueva modalidad de imagen para seguir el avance y crecimiento del\u00a0c\u00e1ncer, especialmente cuando se usan tratamientos cuyo objetivo es atacar los vasos sangu\u00edneos que nutren el tumor, un proceso conocido como angiog\u00e9nesis.<\/p>\n<p class=\"txt\">Los autores de la investigaci\u00f3n recuerdan que los tumores precisan de la creaci\u00f3n de vasos sangu\u00edneos para nutrirse y oxigenarse y a\u00f1aden que numerosas terapias tienen como diana este proceso, informa la\u00a0Universidad de Oviedo.<\/p>\n<div class=\"idle-load-ON\">\n<div id=\"TEXTO_DETALLE_ad_Roba2Mobile\" class=\"adpos ad_Roba2Mobile postload mobile\" data-ad=\"no\">Sin embargo, la monitorizaci\u00f3n de la respuesta es muy costosa y la aparici\u00f3n de resistencias es frecuente, de ah\u00ed que suponga un gran avance en el tratamiento personalizado desarrollar t\u00e9cnicas que permitan diferenciar aquellos pacientes que responder\u00e1n a esta terapia de los que no y detectar en qu\u00e9 momento se produce la resistencia al tratamiento para poder actuar m\u00e1s r\u00e1pidamente.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"txt\">El trabajo ha sido liderado por la investigadora del\u00a0<strong>Instituto Universitario de Oncolog\u00eda del Principado<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Isabel Quir\u00f3s<\/strong>, y ser\u00e1 desarrollado conjuntamente en los laboratorios de la catedr\u00e1tica <strong>Sarah E. Bonhdiek<\/strong>, \u00faltima firmante del art\u00edculo, de la Universidad de Cambridge y de la profesora<strong>\u00a0Rosa M.
