The Ingenium Pathway within the MBEH Master’s Programme offers an international and interdisciplinary academic experience focused on the integration of biotechnology and advanced digital skills.
Designed for students with a background in biosciences, and interested in environmental and health biotechnology, the pathway combines academic excellence with mobility opportunities across leading European universities within the Ingenium European University Alliance.
What makes this pathway unique is its flexible and personalized structure, allowing students to complete 50% of the ECTs internationally, while building an individualized curriculum aligned with their professional interests.
The pathway involves taking a total of 60 ECTS of international learning, including physical mobility (30 ECTS) and online and blended mobility learning activities (30 ECTS).
Both core and transversal knowledge can be part of the International activities of the Pathway The actual number of core or transversal knowledge ECTs taken during the pathway may vary among students depending on their personalized pathway curriculum Students will have the opportunity to specialize in areas such as Computational Biology at Munster Technological University (Ireland), Bioinformatics and Data Analysis at University of Skövde (Sweden) or Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning applied to biotechnology at South-Eastern Finland University of Applied Sciences (XAMK) in Finland.
The pathway’s strong international dimension enables students to study and collaborate in different European academic and research environments, strengthening intercultural communication and global employability.
Through this experience, students will acquire key competencies in computational biology, bioinformatics, AI applications, data analysis and digital technologies, but also interdisciplinary transversal skills including innovation, entrepreneurship, and interdisciplinary problem-solving traningn.
These skills will prepare graduates to address complex challenges in biotechnology, healthcare, and environmental sustainability within an increasingly digital and international professional landscape.
