The Philosophy journal teorema, founded in 1971 and published without interruption until 1986, represented a landmark in the development of contemporary philosophical thought in Spain. During its period of publication, teorema featured several articles by such outstanding philosophers as Chomsky, Davidson, Dummett, Habermas, Pears, Popper, Quine, Searle, Strawson, and others. It also organised a significant number of conferences and symposia, on a wide variety of topics including Wittgenstein's Tractatus, knowledge and belief, Quine's philosophy, philosophical and linguistic aspects of Chomsky's works, philosophy of mind, and contemporary German thought.

In December 1996 teorema resumed publication. Although papers in any philosophical discipline will be considered, the main aim of the journal is to publish original articles either in Spanish or in English in Logic, Philosophy of Language, Philosophy of Logic, Philosophy of Mind, Cognitive Science, Philosophy and History of Science, Epistemology, Metaphysics and related areas. Special attention will be given to the study of Spanish Thought from any period or discipline. Although critical notices and book reviews are usually invited, suggestions are welcome. teorema is a blind- and peer-reviewed journal. The contents of teorema are indexed and collected in the following bibliographic sources: Arts and Humanities Citation Index®, Current Contents® /Arts and Humanities, Dialnet, Dice, Elsevier Bibliographic Databases (SCOPUS), Carhus Plus+, Fuente académica, ISOC-CSIC, Latindex, Periodicals Index Online, Répertoire bibliografique de la philosophie, RESH, Sumaris CBUC, The Philosopher's Index, and Ulrich's Periodicals Directory. teorema has been listed as “journal of excellence” by the Spanish Government Agency FECYT (Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology).

teorema is published three times a year (issues in February, May and October), and includes articles, discussions, notes, book symposia and book reviews of recent publications. In addition, teorema regularly publishes special issues on current philosophical topics.

The Editor would welcome contributions from authors. All papers submitted for publication will be refereed by experts in the field. (See Details for Authors.)
