Methodology

The rules of subject Electronic Technology are based on the following points:

ASSESSMENT

Students will have to pass a theory test as well as a practical one in order to get a pass in this subject.

Theory

A final exam will take place some day in June. This exam is divided into two blocks: a test of 20-25 questions and one or two problems. Students are requested to get a qualification over 50% in this exercise in order to pass the subject.

The qualification obtained in the theory exam will represent 70% of the final qualification.

Practical Exercise

Only in case the above mentioned exam has been passed will students' knowledge of CAE tools be evaluated. Students will be asked to carry out the complete design of a simple electronic circuit at the PC Lab. The design will include all the necessary steps to obtain an electronic circuit: from the schematics capture to the PCB design, also including simulation of its performance.

The qualification obtained in the practical exercise will represent 30% of the final qualification.

OTHER

All the material required to follow this subject is available at the virtual education platform of Universidad de Oviedo (AulaNet).

Students are advised to periodically visit their e-mail accounts (those facilitated by University of Oviedo), for this service might be used by the teacher to inform of changes in the timetable, availability of exam results, exercises request, etc. This official e-mail account will be the only one used by the subject lecturer.
