Its purpose is set in article 2 of its Statutes: \u00abKnowledge of milk products, both artisanal and industrial, primarily Asturian cheese varieties and their relationship with gastronomy.\u00bb<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To do this, in accordance with its 3rd article, it carries\nout multiple activities, which are specified in:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Hold ordinary meetings and Exaltation meals to\none or more cheeses monthly.<\/li><li>Celebration of a Great Annual Gastronomic Party,\nwith the appointment of new number and honor circles and delivery of the Wine\nand Cheese Awards of the year.<\/li><li>Participate in contests and contests that are\nheld today and encourage the realization of new ones in the different areas of\nAsturian cheese production.<\/li><li>Attend events and Great Chapters organized by\nBrotherhoods or Enogastronomic Associations, both regionally, nationally and\ninternationally.<\/li><li>Collaborate selflessly with the Provincial and\nState Organisms, Entities or Institutions that request their advice.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Based on this, to date, it should be noted:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Intermediate so that PDOs from Asturias and\ncheese shops were present at national and international fairs.<\/li><li>Collaboration with the Case City Council and the\ncheese factories hosted in the PDO Cas\u00edn Cheese in the implementation and\norganization of the Contest of said cheese in its new stage, in 2015. Being\nresponsible for the organization and coordination of the Contests of cheese and\ncasinos, which are celebrated there since its inception.<\/li><li>Collaboration in the implementation and\norganization, since 2016, of the Christmas Beer and Cheese Festival in Colunga.<\/li><li>Participate regularly as members of the official\ntasting juries in Regional Contests of Asturian cheese PDOs, as well as\nIdiazabal cheeses in Ordizia (Guip\u00fazcoa) and Serra da Estrela, in Oliveira do\nHospital (Portugal).<\/li><\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Asturian Cheese Gastronomic Circle was established on June 25, 2013 in Oviedo, where it is based.
