For this we carry out a series of activities, some ordinary and others extraordinary, always oriented to the dissemination of the great Asturian cheese heritage that allow us to know and spread the different cheese varieties, estimated at about one hundred and fifty, distributed throughout the Asturian geography, we travel Asturias through its cheeses.<\/p>\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n<p><!--StartFragment--><\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter is-resized\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.plaganu.com\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.unioviedo.es\/catedraIPA\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/image.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1313\" width=\"211\" height=\"211\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.unioviedo.es\/catedraIPA\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/image.png 225w, https:\/\/www.unioviedo.es\/catedraIPA\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/image-150x150.png 150w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 211px) 100vw, 211px\" \/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p><!--EndFragment--><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><br><strong> Association Objective<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br> Contribute to the knowledge of Asturian cheeses and their dissemination for which various events are organized: tastings, tasting \/ pairing, visit to Asturian cheese factories, collaboration with schools &#8211; cheese making by schoolchildren, award for best cheese, participating as a jury in different competitions cheese makers \u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><br><strong> Activities<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Monthly tasting of different cheeses, score<\/li><li>Visit to Asturian cheese factories<\/li><li>Participation as a jury in cheese tastings covered by Protected Designation of Origin<\/li><li>Participation in tasting organized by different gastronomic establishments and on a permanent and annual basis (\u2018Sidrer\u00eda Yumay\u2019-Gamoneu DOP cheese festival)<\/li><li>Live cooking in the framework of the Avil\u00e9s Cheese, Wine and Ceramics fair, in collaboration with the Pravia Hospitality School.<\/li><li>Cheese making with schoolchildren from Avil\u00e9s schools, with the collaboration of the Association of Artisan Cheesemakers of Asturias.<\/li><li>Prize for the best Asturian cheese of the year, since 2007.<\/li><li>Jury in the four cheese awards with PDO: Cabrales, Gamoneu, Cas\u00edn and Afuega\u2019l Pitu.<\/li><li>Delivery of the Pl\u00e1ganu Awards for the best cheese in Asturias, within the framework of the Cheese, Wine and Ceramics Fair held in Avil\u00e9s since 1981.
