Economist. He holds a PhD in Economic and Business Sciences from the University of Oviedo (1999). Full Professor in the Department of Applied Economics from the University of Oviedo , has taught the subjects of National Accounting, Transport Economics, Regional Economics and Local Development, World Economy (Faculty of Economics and Business), Political Economy and Economics of European Integration ( Faculty of Law) and Economics (Faculty of Geography and History) as well as the courses The Economics of Cities and Input-output Analysis, in the PhD program "Economics and Sociology of Globalization". Member of the Hispalink-Asturias research group since 1991, he has collaborated in different projects and contracts, among which we can highlight the evaluations of the use of community structural funds, for FEDEA (1992-1993, 1993-1994) and the Ministry of Economy of the Government of the Principality of Asturias (1996, 1997, 2003, 2005).
