La filosof\u00eda de Pierre Bayle tambi\u00e9n ha sido explicada apelando a su tradici\u00f3n calvinista (Elisabeth&nbsp;Labrousse), incluso a su supuesto fide\u00edsmo&nbsp;(Richard Popkin). La lucha de Benito&nbsp;Feijoo contra la superstici\u00f3n, a su vez, suele ser enmarcada en el debate m\u00e1s amplio de la recepci\u00f3n del jansenismo en Espa\u00f1a.&nbsp;Abriendo una alternativa a esta tradici\u00f3n interpretativa, en este congreso vamos&nbsp;a analizar las filosof\u00edas de Bayle y Feijoo como el resultado de la cr\u00edtica a sus tradiciones confesionales de partida. Vamos a&nbsp;revisitar sus obras con la vista puesta principalmente (aunque no solo) en los siguientes aspectos de su cr\u00edtica al cristianismo:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" type=\"1\"><li>El papel de la autoridad civil en cuestiones religiosas<\/li><li>La subordinaci\u00f3n de las mujeres<\/li><li>La debilitaci\u00f3n del cristianismo a trav\u00e9s del estudio de la ciencia<\/li><li>El discurso contra la superstici\u00f3n<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><em>The Christian descent of Modernity is widely accepted among specialists, like&nbsp;Thomas Sheehan, Michael Gillespie and David Sorkin, who consider biblical hermeneutics, nominalist ontology, and free will among the key elements to explain western Enlightenment. Pierre Bayle\u2019s philosophy has been interpreted appealing to his Calvinist tradition (Elisabeth Labrousse) and his alleged fideism (Richard Popkin).
