His focus is on the analysis and application of deep learning methods for solving partial differential equations and inverse problems. He is chair of the national Dutch <a href=\"https:\/\/aimath.nl\/\">AIM (AI &amp; Mathematics)<\/a> initiative and data science representative of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cmi-nen.nl\/\">Center for Medical Imaging NEN<\/a>.
