He is full professor at Sorbonne Universit\u00e9 (Paris) and is the head of Laboratoire Jacques-Louis Lions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He is the Editor in Chief of the journal ESAIM: Control Calc. Var. Optim. (COCV) and is Associate Editor of several other journals like SIAM Rev. He has been awarded the SIAM Outstanding Paper Prize (2006), the Maurice Audin Prize (2010), the Felix Klein Prize (European Math.
