{"id":3189,"date":"2025-01-07T12:41:18","date_gmt":"2025-01-07T12:41:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.unioviedo.es\/fincorp\/?p=3189"},"modified":"2025-01-07T12:52:29","modified_gmt":"2025-01-07T12:52:29","slug":"the-ies-selgas-highlights-the-talks-given-by-our-research-group-in-its-magazine","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.unioviedo.es\/fincorp\/index.php\/en\/2025\/01\/07\/the-ies-selgas-highlights-the-talks-given-by-our-research-group-in-its-magazine\/","title":{"rendered":"The IES Selgas highlights the talks given by our Research Group in its magazine"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The <strong>IES Selgas<\/strong> has dedicated some words in its magazine to the talks given by members of our Research Group, <strong>Irma Mart\u00ednez and Eduardo Men\u00e9ndez<\/strong>, as part of the <strong>XXIV Science and Innovation Week of the University of Oviedo<\/strong>, held in November.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During this initiative, Irma Mart\u00ednez delivered the talk titled <strong>\u00abFemale leadership in business: A 2030 challenge\u00bb<\/strong>, addressing key topics such as the underrepresentation of women in decision-making positions, the glass ceiling, and the influence of gender stereotypes in the business sector. With an engaging and participatory approach, she encouraged students to reflect on the importance of advancing toward greater gender equality within the framework of the 2030 Agenda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile, Eduardo Men\u00e9ndez presented the talk <strong>\u00abMy finances: How to take care of them?\u00bb<\/strong>, focusing on financial education. Using accessible language, anecdotes, and practical examples, he highlighted the importance of properly managing concepts such as profitability, liquidity, and risk, fostering greater awareness among students about making responsible financial decisions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We would like to thank the IES Selgas and teachers Julia Garrido Medina and Mar\u00eda del Pilar Garc\u00eda for their warm reception and for facilitating this event.
