10th Iberian Mathematical Meeting
14–16 October 2026
Gijón (Asturias), Spain
Welcome
The 10th Iberian Mathematical Meeting will be hosted by the University of Oviedo and held from 14 to 16 October 2026 at the Higher School of Civil Marine Engineering (Escuela Superior de la Marina Civil), located on the Gijón Campus in Asturias, Spain.
The Iberian Mathematical Meeting is a biennial conference jointly promoted by the Real Sociedad Matemática Española (RSME) and the Sociedade Portuguesa de Matemática (SPM). Since its creation, the meeting has served as a forum for strengthening scientific collaboration between the mathematical communities of Spain and Portugal, fostering the exchange of ideas and the development of new research initiatives.
Previous editions have taken place in Lisbon (2007), Badajoz (2008), Braga (2010), Valladolid (2012), Aveiro (2014), Santiago de Compostela (2016), Évora (2018), Seville (2022), and the Azores (2024), reflecting the strong commitment of both societies to promoting mathematical research and cooperation across the Iberian Peninsula.
The scientific programme will be centred around three thematic areas:
• Mathematics Education
• Dynamical Systems
• Quantum Information
The conference will feature plenary lectures together with parallel sessions in the three thematic areas of the meeting. These sessions will offer participants valuable opportunities to share research results, exchange ideas, and foster scientific collaboration.
This website will be regularly updated with information concerning registration, accommodation, important dates, the scientific programme, and other practical aspects of the meeting.
We look forward to welcoming you to Gijón.
