Through the educational talk titled <strong>&#8220;Physalias in the Classroom&#8221;<\/strong>\u2014part of the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/ucc.uniovi.es\/promocion\/degira\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/ucc.uniovi.es\/promocion\/degira\">De Gira con la Ciencia<\/a><\/strong> initiative by the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.uniovi.es\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.uniovi.es\/\">University of Oviedo<\/a><\/strong>\u2014we have shared our research on the Portuguese Man-o&#8217;-War (<em>Physalia physalis<\/em>) with the next generation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Inspiring Scientific Vocations<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Our colleagues <strong>Ver\u00f3nica, Deva, Gemma<\/strong> and <strong>Yago<\/strong> have been leading these sessions, explaining how we study this fascinating organism and promoting ocean conservation. Thanks to this joint effort, we will reach approximately <strong>200 students<\/strong> across various educational levels:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>4th Grade<\/strong> Primary students.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>1st and 2nd Year<\/strong> Secondary students (ESO).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Higher Vocational Training<\/strong> (FP Superior) students.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Participating Schools<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>We would like to express our deepest gratitude for the interest and warm welcome from the following centers that made these encounters possible:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>CEIP Poeta Ant\u00f3n de Mari Reguera (Cand\u00e1s)<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><strong>IES N\u00ba1 (Gij\u00f3n)<\/strong><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>CODEMA (Gij\u00f3n<\/strong>)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>CP Rey Pelayo (Gij\u00f3n)<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>We will soon share more project details and upcoming outreach activities.
