Open Government Week

The Open Government Week, promoted by the Directorate General for Public Governance, is being held from 19 to 25 May. The purpose of Open Government Week is to organise events to bring public administrations closer to citizens, based on the principles of Open Government: transparency, accountability, citizen participation, public integrity and collaboration.

Different events such as workshops, hackathons, colloquiums, seminars, etc. are planned. A map of events is available at https://transparencia.gob.es/transparencia/transparencia_Home/index/Gobierno-abierto/sensibilizacion-formacion/SemanaAA/EventosSAA2025.html.

The initiative is part of the Open Government Weeks (OGW), an initiative promoted by the Open Government Partnership (Open Gov Week) worldwide, which aims to disseminate its principles and practices to create a culture, shared by public administrations and citizens, based on the values of transparency and integrity, civic participation and promotion of fundamental rights, as well as accountability.
