Francisco Ferrero

Francisco Ferrero (M´99, SM´12) is an associate professor with the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, University of Oviedo, Spain. He received his MS degree in electronic engineering and his PhD degree in electrical engineering from the University of Oviedo, Spain, in 1988 and in 1998, respectively. His current research interest includes developing instrumentation and measurement systems for chemical, biological, and medical applications.


Juan Carlos Campo

Juan Carlos Campo (M´17) was born in Gijón, Spain, in 1970. He received his MSc. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Oviedo in 1995 and his PhD degree in 2000. In 1995, he joined the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, University of Oviedo, where he is currently a full professor. His current research interests include electronic instrumentation and measurement, fiber optic sensors, and signal processing.


Marta Valledor

Marta Valledor (M´17) received her MS degree in naval radioelectronics from the University of Cádiz in 1992. In 2006, she received her PhD from the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, University of Oviedo, where she is currently an associate professor. Her research interests include electronic instrumentation and measurement (mainly focused on application of photoluminescent techniques based on nanomaterials), fiberoptic sensors, biosensors, biological monitoring, virtual instrumentation, and digital signal processing.


José Ramón Blanco

Jose R. Blanco (MD´04) is the Managing Director of two companies (Ingen10 Ingenieria SL and TWave SL) directly related with electronics systems engineering, instrumentation, and sensing equipment for industrial applications. Both companies are located in Asturias, Spain. He received his MS degree in electronic engineering from the University of Oviedo, Spain, in 2004. His current research interests include analog acquisition systems, data-logging systems and, specially, the application of Internet of Things to monitoring equipment.


Alberto López

Alberto López is a researcher with the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, University of Oviedo, Spain. He received his B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. degrees in telecommunication engineering from the University of Oviedo, Spain, in 2011, 2012, and 2018, respectively. His current research interests include the design and development of assistance and diagnostic systems based on biopotentials.

Daniel Pérez

Daniel Pérez García was born in 1990. He is graduated in Mechanical Engineering (2008-2012) and Master in Mechatronic Engineering (2012-2014), both at the University of Oviedo, Spain. From 2014 to 2016 he was a scholarship researcher at the Foundation of the University of Oviedo. At present, he works at the company Integral Solution Plus and at the University of Oviedo developing a research project title “Estimation of real-time fish biomass based on 3D image processing and artificial vision for optimization of feeding systems in aquaculture”, which is related with his doctoral thesis.

Received the M.Sc. in Industrial Electronic Engineer from the University of Oviedo, Spain, in 2007. He had a working grant at HC energy company during 2008. He also worked as researcher recycling industrial waste at School of Mines in 2009 and 2010. He is currently working towards the Ph.D. degree and as a researcher at the Battery Research Laboratory at University of Oviedo.


Adrián Sánchez

Adrián Sánchez Visedo holds a degree in Environmental Sciences at the Rey Juan Carlos University, with a Master's Degree in Analytical and Bioanalytical Sciences at the University of Oviedo, having completed the master's degree project "Synthesis, characterization and bioconjugation of silver nanoclusters for application to the determination of metallothionein III in biological tissues by fluorescence". He is currently doing doctoral studies for the Development of sensor platforms based on nanomaterials for bioanalytical control, in the research group of Analytical and Bioanalytical Chemistry at Oviedo University.

Guillermo Rego Fernández holds a degree in Industrial Electronics and Automatics Engineering and he is finishing a Master in Internet of Things (IoT), both at the University of Oviedo, Spain. The title of the TFM is "Portable IoT NIR Spectrometer to Analyse Nutritional Values of Dairy Farms Forage".
