Prof. Miguel A. Ruiz

* (1976-1981). Bachelor Degree in Chemistry (june 1981) at the Universidad de Valladolid (Spain), with specialization in Inorganic Chemistry.
* (1981-1982). Assistant professor at the Universidad de Valladolid. Beginning of research activity under the supervision of Prof. Víctor Riera.
* (1982-1985). FPU research fellow at the Universidad de Oviedo (Spain). Ph.D. Degree in Chemistry (October 1985) under the supervision of Prof. Víctor Riera. Chemistry of dimanganese carbonyl complexes.
* (1986-1987). Postdoctoral fellow and research assistant at Bristol University (UK) under the supervision of Prof. F. G. A. Stone. Chemistry of heterometallic unsaturated complexes with bridging carbyne ligands.
* (1988-1989). Postdoctoral fellow at the Universidad de Oviedo (Spain). Beginning of the chemistry of binuclear complexes with cyclopentadienyl and carbonyl ligands.
* (1990-2008). Lecturer (Profesor Titular) in Inorganic Chemistry at the Universidad de Oviedo (Spain)
* (2008-…). Professor (Catedrático) of Inorganic Chemistry at the Universidad de Oviedo (Spain).

   Dr. Ruiz has published over 170 research papers in the main journals of the field and has supervised up to now a total of 17 Ph.D. Thesis, 9 Degree Thesis and 21 Master Thesis. He acts as a reviewer to several journals such Organometallics, Inorganic Chemistry, Journal of the American Chemical Society, Dalton Transactions and Journal of Organometallic Chemistry. Dr. Ruiz has been a member of the Editorial Advisory Board of Organometallics for the period 2010-2012.
