The aim of the Sport Science Research Network “In Motu Salus” is to study the molecular bases of physical exercise for health and performance.
This network is funded by the CSD, promotes and brings together different universities for research in the field of sports science.

Why the Network?
The “In motu salus” network is made up of a group of people, dedicated to research in various fields of sports science, who are interested in understanding how physical exercise acts on both health and sporting performance.
Physical exercise, in today’s society, has two complementary dimensions, one oriented towards sporting performance and the other towards health.
Sport is a cultural manifestation of all societies that facilitates human development. Sport generates an enormous social impact, generally associated with physical, personal, social and economic development.
Physical capacity is a fundamental evolutionary quality in human development. Historically it has been a key element for survival, and today it is a strategy that facilitates individual and population health, modulates the development of the most prevalent chronic diseases and delays ageing.
