The Wolfast Uniovi Racing Team project from the University of Oviedo has been chosen by the multinational Phoenix Contact to carry out an innovative project involving a high-performance modular battery designed for easy maintenance and usability.
The German multinational, with the support of the German government, launched the global Xplore Technology Award 2023 competition at the beginning of 2022. The competition aims to encourage technological innovation that contributes to creating a more sustainable world.
We presented a project related to a high-performance battery that will be used in the prototype for the Motostudent 2022-2023 competition. From now on, the project will receive support in materials and guidance from Phoenix Contact to be executed and present its results at the global competition final, scheduled for October 2023 in Bad Pyrmont, Germany.
The team is participating in this competition through students: Eloy CeƱera FernĆ”ndez, Ćlvaro López Pascual, Manuel Paz PiƱera, AdriĆ”n Iglesias PĆ©rez, Pablo Berenguer GarcĆa SuĆ”rez, and Ana Mar Ćlvarez DĆez. The students are guided by the professors from the University of Oviedo, Ćlvaro Noriega and Ramy Georgious.
