Víctor M. González is Professor of Finance at the University of Oviedo since 2008. His teaching focuses on Corporate Finance and Financial Investments. Currently, he is Editor of Spanish Journal of Finance and Accounting (SSCI Q4, Category: Business/Finance). He is member of the «Grupo de Economía Financiera» at the University of Oviedo.
Victor M. González’s main interests are corporate finance (capital structure), corporate governance and banking. His research analyzes the relevance of institutions and banking structure for different capital structure issues. He has published articles in journals such as the Journal of Corporate Finance, Research in International Business and Finance, International Journal of Financial Management & Accounting, Family Business Review, International Review of Economics and Finance, Quarterly Review of Economics and Finance, Accounting & Finance, Journal of Business, Finance and Accounting, European Journal of Finance, International Finance, Applied Economics, Spanish Journal of Finance and Accounting-REFC, Spanish Accounting Review, and BRQ Business Research Quarterly. He acts as an external referee for different entities such as ANECA, ANEP, ACSUCYL, AAC and UNIBASQ. From September 2020, he is member of the Junta Directiva de ACEDE (Asociación Científica de Economía y Dirección de la Empresa).
