Summary of Our Experience at Motorland

It’s been almost two weeks since we returned from Motorland, and we’re not ashamed to admit that we’re still feeling the emotional aftermath.

We’ve been processing everything we experienced in this MotoStudent edition, and it’s as challenging to explain as it is to believe.

On Tuesday, October 10, we left the EPI in Gijón headed to Alcañiz. Although very excited about what we were going to experience, we were also saddened because just a day earlier, the inverter of our motorcycle had burned out, making us think that we wouldn’t be able to compete.

We could have given up in this situation and simply gone to enjoy the experience, but our team decided that we had dedicated too much time, effort, and love to throw in the towel at that moment. The next 12 hours were as intense as they were fruitful, and we managed to pass the static tests, as well as obtain a new inverter in time to pass the dynamic tests. This wouldn’t have been possible without the help of former Wolfast project members, the collaboration of AUVE, and the camaraderie that characterizes MotoStudent.

Despite all the obstacles, we made it to the race classification, and although we had to go to the playoff, we are proud to tell you that we saw our motorcycle race in the end. There are no words to describe what the whole team felt when the traffic light turned green, and we could see the work of two years materialize in four laps around the circuit that still gives us goosebumps every time we remember it.

We couldn’t finish the race, but undoubtedly, we reached much further than we expected this Tuesday when we got into the van heading to Aragon. We won’t deny that we would have liked to complete the six laps of the circuit, but after the intense work we did those days, we believe that the best word to define the MS7 edition is resilience, and we are ready to continue giving our best in the MS8. We’ll see you there!
