Introducing ProteOviedo2020 online meeting
We wanted to organize a great ProteOviedo 2020 conference, but sadly current situation derived from Covid-19 makes this impossible. In consequence we decided to cancel ProteOviedo 2020.
Instead, and until we can see you all at Oviedo, we will celebrate a one-day online meeting so all of you will be able to share your latests works. We will have amazing plenary conferences and flash video-sessions which we expect to be really creative. Please check the new scientific program and submission guidelines. The deadline (which won’t be extended) for uploading your work is November 3rd.
The participation in this meeting will be free for all members of SEProt, ProCura and SFEAP (all attendant who paid congress fees please contact technical office for get reimbursed).

ProteOviedo2020 is rolling again – NEW DATE: November 11-14th
We have worked so hard to celebrate ProteOviedo2020 this year, and as situation across France, Portugal and Spain is getting better is time to announce new dates for our conference. Please mark this data on your calendar. We will make a safe and nice conference environment for all of you!
New deadlines/important dates:
- – October 1st: End of regular abstract submission and early registration period.
- – October 20th: Announcement of communications selected for oral talks.
- – October 30th: End of late abstracts submission and regular registration period.These dates will be soon reflected in our webpage at (http://www.proteoviedo2020.es) and registration system.We encourage all of you to start registering and submitting your abstracts to our platform so everything will star rolling again. If you already submitted your work, but in the meantime you obtained new exciting results you want to show us, please contact us to remove your original submission so you can upload a new abstract.Please remind that any of you that have paid your inscription and cannot assist to the conference due to the new dates will be reimbursed (please contact organization). ProteOviedo2020 – Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update – CONFERENCE POSTPONED
The COVID-19 situation is critical across Europe as ProteOviedo2020 approaches. In France, Portugal and Spain there are different situations of confinement and at this moment is early to predict when the situation will be back to normal. In this situation the most reasonable decision is postponing the conference. In consequence, at present, the congress on “standby” situation.
We have worked so hard to have new potential dates to celebrate ProteOviedo2020 in a reasonable timeframe. We will announce the new ProteOviedo2020 date as soon as the situation return to normality in our three countries.
Science must go on so in the meantime we encourage all of you to think about registering and submitting your abstracts. Considering this exceptional situation, early registration will be extended until abstract submission period expires. Please remind that any of you that have paid your inscription and cannot assist to the conference due to the new dates will be reimbursed.

ProteOviedo2020 – Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update
The COVID-19 situation is fluid as ProteOviedo2020 approaches. At present the congress is “on” and we continue our preparations to deliver and exceptional meeting. This plan is consistent with current guidance for traveling between Portugal, France and Spain and the modeled disease progression expected for late May. If Spanish, French or Portuguese authorities, European Commission, or WHO suggest a ban on non-essential travel to Oviedo we will postpone our congress to September. In this case we will refund the inscription fees to those that cannot attend to our conference in the new date.
People from specific regions which may have limited movements during conference dates, or personnel from health systems that are currently recommended not to travel will also get a full refund if they are not allowed to assist to our conference (notifications of these situations should be made before first of May).
Rigorous infection control measures will be implemented, with hand sanitizer dispensers in multiple locations and frequent cleaning of surfaces, microphones, and other objects that could spread the virus.
