How to get to Gijón and how to come to the Campus

Travel to Gijón

By plane: Asturias airport (OVD) has direct connections with 22 national and international destinations. The main operating companies for these flights are Iberia, Vueling, Volotea and Ryanair. There are direct flights to and from some cities in Europe, but usually arriving at Asturias Airport involves coming through Madrid or Barcelona. Airport is located in the municipality of Castrillón, so another transport is required to reach Gijón. By taxi the fare is around €60 for the day and €70 for the night (from 10:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. on weekdays, holidays and from 3:00 p.m. on Saturdays) +info Taxi There is a bus line operated by ALSA that connects to Gijón’s central bus station, departs more or less every hour between 8:00 am and 11:45 pm and costs €9 each way.

By bus: ALSA is the main operator of road connections in Asturias. There are connections with all the provincial capitals of the peninsula and even with international destinations. Bus station is located about 4 kilometers from the engineering school.

By train: RENFE is the operator of railway connections including a high-speed train connection to Madrid. Train station is located about 5 kilometers from the engineering school.

Getting to de Campus

Routes 2, 4, 18 have a bus stop by the conference venue. IN the linked pdf maps, its name is E.U. Ingenieros Técnicos. In the App Gijon EMTUSA, it is the bus stop Escuela Politecnica de Ingenieria (P27).
