Ana Rosa Linde, profesora del MBEH, e investigadora y profesora de Salud Ambiental y Global en Brasil, afirma en su entrevista para la Nueva España que el aumento de las temperaturas contribuye a la expansión por Europa de insectos transmisores de graves enfermedades que asolan ahora otros continentes.

PRIZE AWARDED TO THE BEST ACADEMIC PROJECT BY THE ARCELOR MITTAL R&D&I CHAIR OF THE UNIVERSITY OF OVIEDO.
Our MBEH second year students Alejandra Mesa, Judith Llanes and José Antonio Saavedra where awarded by Cátedra ArcelorMittal de I+D+i sponsored by ArcelorMittal for presenting the best academic proposal developed in the frame of the MBEH subject Innovation Management during academic year 2023-24.
The awarded project aimed to solve a problem that we currently experience, the increase in CO2 emissions. The proposal involved the application of biofilters together with biotechnological tools to address the decontamination of gaseous effluents in the steel industry. The work was supervised by MBEH professors Francisco Ortega and Adriano Mones Bayo.
