The European Winter Conference on Plasma Spectrochemistry took place on January 30 – February 3 at Cankarjev dom in Ljubljana, Slovenia. GELP members Dr. Jaime Orejas and PhD Student Cristina Méndez attended the event with oral contributions.

Dr. Jaime Orejas presented his Oral Talk entitled «Solution Cathode Glow Discharge Optical Emission Spectrometry for high salinity samples: are organic additives beneficial?». His project is supported by the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation (PID2020-113951GB-I00).
Cristina Méndez-López presented an Oral Talk entitled «Sensitive determination of halogens in liquid samples using nebulization-assisted LIBS».
She also presented a poster entitled «Spatial positioning of the re-excitation laser focusing spot in an orthogonal double pulse fs/ns-LIBS configuration» and had the chance to meet again with former GELP member Dr. César Álvarez-Llamas (currently at Institut Lumière Matière (iLM))! Her projects are supported by the Principality of Asturias through «Severo Ochoa» (PA-21 PF-PB20-059) and grant AYUD/2022/33582, as well as by the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation (PID2020-113951GB-I00).
