Biography

Full Professor of Finance, University of Oviedo.

She obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Business Administration from CUNEF (Spain), her Master’s Degree in International Economics from Universität Konstanz (Germany) and completed her PhD in Economics and Business Administration at the University of Oviedo (Spain).

She has authored scientific publications in form of articles, books and book chapters. Has been awarded the ACEDE Conference José Sanchís Award (1996), the Family Business Section Award (2017) and was Award Finalist (2007, 2021); IFERA Conference Alden G. Lank/Family Business Consulting Group Award (2004) and CEF Financial Studies Award, Accounting  and Business Administration modality (2002). She has been invited speaker at national and international workshops and meetings. She has supervised several PhD theses, among them, with International mention and Outstanding PhD Award. Recognition by the Spanish Ministry of Education of four six-year research periods and one six-year knowledge transfer period.

She has been Visiting Scholar at German universities (Otto von Guericke Universität Magdeburg and Europa Universität Viadrina), and at the Università degli Studi di Torino, Italy. She has been Director of the Coordination Office of the Vice Rectorate for Financial and Delegate of the Rector for the International Campus of Excellence of the University of Oviedo. She leads the research group of the University of Oviedo on Corporate Finance and Corporate Governance. At national level, she has collaborated with ANECA, ANEP, ACPUA, ACSYCYL, ACSUG, AQU Catalunya, AVAP, ACCUA, Fundación Madridmasd, Fundación LaCaixa, Fundación Ramón Areces and UNIBASQ. At the international level, with the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA), the European Research Executive Agency (REA), European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), EuroTech University Alliance, L’Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).

She has been a member of the Committee of Economics Pre-doctoratal Fellowship FPU (2020-2022), of the Committee of Legal and Social Sciences Pre-doctoral Fellowships ACSUG (2021), of the PhD Programmes Committee of Verification, Follow-up and Accreditation ACCUA (2016-2020) and of the Institutional and Programme Review Committee (Social Sciences) AQU Catalunya (2016-2021).
