Participation in the round table: “Roots and Legacies: What can we learn from the Successes and Failures of Family Businesses?”

    Next Monday, January 20, at 6:00 PM, the Madrid Association of Economists will host a round table titled “Roots and Legacies: What can we learn from the Successes and Failures of Family Businesses?”. Among the speakers is María Sacristán Navarro, a researcher from our group, Professor of Business Organization at the Rey Juan Carlos University, and Vice President of the Family Business Section of ACEDE, who will present the talk “Corporate Governance in Family Businesses”.

    “Get to know the Bank of Spain” workshops at the Bank of Spain’s Oviedo branch

      On December 2 and 4, 2024, the Finance and Corporate Governance Research Group coordinated two sessions of the workshop “Get to know the Bank of Spain” at the Bank of Spain’s branch in Oviedo. The activity was aimed at students of the course Markets and Financial Institutions and participants in the FinEduca360: Youth for Youth initiative. A total of 40 students attended.

        On December 2nd, Eduardo José Menéndez Alonso, a member of the Corporate Finance and Governance Research Group, delivered a lecture titled “My finances: How to take care of them?” as part of the Councils with Science program, an initiative of the Asturian Federation of Councils (FACC).

          On November 28th, Irma Martínez García, a member of the Corporate Finance and Governance Research Group, delivered a lecture titled “My finances: How to take care of them?” as part of the Councils with Science program, an initiative of the Asturian Federation of Councils (FACC).

          Participation in the INGENIUM Sustainable Development and Corporate Responsibility School

            From November 18 to 22, 2024, Ignacio Tascón Amo, a predoctoral researcher from the Corporate Governance and Finance Research Group, participated in the INGENIUM Sustainable Development and Corporate Responsibility School held at the University of Crete. As part of this event, on November 20, Ignacio presented the study titled “Case Study: Grifols-Gotham City Research”, co-authored with María Sacristán Navarro and Silvia Gómez Ansón.

            Participation in the XXIV Science and Innovation Week

              In collaboration with the Scientific and Innovation Culture Unit (UCC+I) of the University of Oviedo, we had the pleasure of being part of the XXIV Science and Innovation Week, delivering the talk “My finances: How to take care of them?” as part of our FinEduca360 initiative.
