On November 27, Silvia Gómez Ansón, director of the Research Group on Finance and Corporate Governance, participated in the event “Economic Violence: The pending issue in eradicating gender-based violence”, organized by the Nantik Lum Foundation.
The event, held at the Foundation’s headquarters, addressed the importance of raising awareness and visibility around economic violence as a form of gender-based violence. In connection with this topic, researchers from the University of Oviedo, Javier Andrés González Vega, Paz Fernández-Rivera González, and Daniel Mera Bueno, have developed the study “Economic Violence and Financial Health: A Legal Study”, which was presented on October 2 at the Aula Magna of the University of Oviedo. This study, carried out in collaboration with the Nantik Lum Foundation, provides a multidimensional perspective on economic violence from a legal standpoint and aims to raise awareness among society and public administration about this issue, fostering its eradication.
