Within the European Diversity Month 2023, we would like to spot female presence on boards of directors of European large listed companies: 32.2% as a mean in 2022. On November 22, 2022, the European Parliament approved Directive 2022/2381. Member States have two years to transpose it. Member States should subject listed companies either to the objective of having boards on which members of the underrepresented sex hold at least 40 % of non-executive director positions by June 30, 2026 or, alternatively, to the objective of having boards on which members of the underrepresented sex hold at least 33 % of all director positions by June 30, 2026, regardless of whether they are executive or non-executive.
