Registration of centers for FINEDUCA360 Youth for Youth

The University of Oviedo offers schools in the region the opportunity to collaborate in an educational project aimed at bringing financial literacy to young people.

The FINEDUCA360 Youth for Youth project offers schools the opportunity to host a 1-hour talk given by students from the School of Economics and Business of the University of Oviedo. The talks will take place between May and June 2024 and are aimed at ESO and Bachillerato students.

The project promoted by the Finance and Corporate Governance Research Group of the University of Oviedo is part of the plan of activities that the University of Oviedo develops as a collaborator of the Financial Education Plan of the Bank of Spain, the National Securities Market Commission and the Ministry of Economy.

The students of the School of Economics and Business will receive previous training workshops given by professionals from the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV) and the Spanish Association of Financial Advisors and Planners (EFPA), as well as by the faculty of the School of Economics and Business.

With your participation we will promote the financial culture of young people, contributing to their sensible and informed financial behavior. Some worrying data regarding young people:

    • One in four students do not reach a basic level of financial literacy.
    • They adopt less prudent financial behaviors than adults.
    • They are attracted to high-risk assets, such as cryptoassets.
    • Rely on social networks for information.
    • They tend to conduct financial transactions through websites and apps, increasing their exposure to fraud.

ARE YOU INTERESTED IN PARTICIPATING? Schools interested in joining this initiative can apply by completing the following form. Application period: Until April 20, 2024. The collaboration will be certified to the center and the responsible teachers.
