Our course on personal finance begins at PUMUO in Oviedo

    Last Monday, 15 September, marked the beginning of the first semester of the University Programme for Older Adults of the University of Oviedo (PUMUO), held at its Oviedo campus. From our research group, we would like to thank all participants for the excellent reception of our course “The financial 50+: Personal finance and financial health at maturity”, which will be part of the programme’s academic offer and has a total of 60 enrolled participants.

    Eduardo José Menéndez Alonso awarded by AECA for his article on share buybacks

      Eduardo José Menéndez Alonso, member of our research group, has been awarded ex aequo by the Spanish Association of Accounting and Business Administration (AECA) with the 31st AECA International Award for Articles on Accounting and Business Administration. The jury recognised his article “Cervantes and Share Buybacks: The New Altarpiece of Wonders”.

      The talks of the second edition of “FinEduca360: Youth for Youth” continue

        Coinciding with the Global Money Week, the “FinEduca360: Youth for Youth” project continues its work of bringing financial education closer to ESO and Baccalaureate students in Asturias. These talks, titled “My finances: How to take care of them?”, aim to provide young people with key tools to manage their money responsibly.

        New FinEduca360 University Extension Classes in Tapia de Casariego

          Our research group is organizing two new University Extension Classes as part of the FinEduca360 project: “Finance and entrepreneurship” and “Personal finance and financial education”. These free-access initiatives aim to bring financial literacy closer to the Asturian population and are part of the Financial Education Plan of the Bank of Spain, the National Securities Market Commission, and the Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Business.
