Participation in the Seminar on trends in the regulation and supervision of Ibero-American capital markets organised by the Ibero-American Institute of the Securities Market with the collaboration of the AECID

    Silvia Gómez Ansón participates as a lecturer in the Seminar on trends in the regulation and supervision of Ibero-American capital markets organised by the Ibero-American Institute of Securities Markets (IIMV) with the collaboration of the AECID Training Centre in La Antigua, Guatemala. The Seminar is aimed at executives and technical staff of Ibero-American Securities Market Regulatory and Supervisory Bodies, other financial supervisory bodies, and Ministries of Economy and Finance.

    We participate in the 8th edition of the Online Course on Corporate Governance organised by the Ibero-American Institute of the Securities Market

      Silvia Gómez Ansón and María Sacristán Navarro participate as lecturers in the 8th edition of the online Course on Corporate Governance organised by the Ibero-American Institute of the Securities Market (IIMV) with the technical direction of the Securities Market Commission, teaching module 1. The course is aimed at staff of Regulatory and Supervisory Bodies of the Ibero-American Securities Markets, attached to the IIMV.

          With the Concepción Arenal Chair of 2030 Agenda we participate in the Science Week 2023, organised by the Scientific Culture and Innovation Unit (UCC+I) of the University of Oviedo, with the talk “Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and 2030 Agenda”, offered for schools and high schools.

          Participation in the ICGS Conference 2023

            Silvia Gómez Ansón and Irma Martínez García have participated in the ICGS Conference (https://www.ie.edu/icgs2023/), held on October 20-22, 2023 in Madrid. They have presented the paper entitled “Sustainable Development Goals, Sustainability Indices and Corporate Governance: An Analysis of Spanish Listed Companies”.             Call for communications for ACEDE’s 2024 Workshop on family business and sustainability

              María Sacristán, member of the Finance and Corporate Governance Research Group, leads the 2024 Workshop of ACEDE’s Family Business Section, whose theme is: “Family business and sustainability: the way forward”. The workshop will take place on January 25, 2024 at the Vicálvaro Campus of the URJC. The deadline for the submission of communications is open until November 30, 2023.

              Participation in Science Week 2023

                We are participating in Science Week 2023, organised by the Scientific Culture and Innovation Unit (UCC+I) of the University of Oviedo, with the talk “My finances: how to take care of them?”, offered for primary and secondary schools. The activity takes place from 9 to 19 November 2023.

                Participation in University Extension Class on Agenda 2030 in Villaviciosa

                  Silvia Gómez Ansón participated on October 9 in the University Extension Class “The United Nations 2030 Agenda: a multidisciplinary approach to identify and understand the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)”, in Villaviciosa, with “SDG 8: Promote inclusive and sustainable economic growth, employment and decent work for all; SDG 10: Reduce inequality within and among countries”.

                  Publication by Bolsas y Mercados Españoles (BME) of the study “Educación financiera: avances y desafíos de la investigación”, by Irma Martínez-García and Silvia Gómez-Ansón

                    On Financial Education Day, BME today published the study “Educación financiera: avances y desafíos de la investigación”, by Irma Martínez-García and Silvia Gómez-Ansón. Among the conclusions of the report, BME highlights in its press release: “the positive effect of financial education on individual wealth via investment and household economies, or the fact that people with more financial literacy are more aware of retirement planning. The study also analyses the gender gap in financial literacy, among other issues of interest”.
