In November 2025, members of our research group take part in the 25th Week of Science and Innovation of the University of Oviedo, carried out within the framework of the FECYT funding programme for the promotion of scientific, technological and innovation culture (Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation).
Next Tuesday, November 18th, 2025, the II Conference “Economic Violence and Financial Health: Challenges, Solutions and Legal Advances” will take place at the Main Hall (Aula Magna) of the University of Oviedo. The event is organized by the Finance and Corporate Governance Research Group and the Nantik Lum Foundation, with the support of the Vice-Rectorate for Strategic Planning and Campus Coordination, the Ministry of Social Rights, Consumer Affairs and the 2030 Agenda, and the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities (Project: PID2022-140023NA-I00).
On 26 September 2025, members of our research group took part in the European Researchers’ Night of the University of Oviedo, organised by the Unit for Scientific Culture and Innovation (UCC+I), through the stand “Con-CIENCIA-dos frente a los grandes retos globales. ¡Tú eres el protagonista!”.
Eduardo José Menéndez Alonso, member of our research group, has been awarded ex aequo by the Spanish Association of Accounting and Business Administration (AECA) with the 31st AECA International Award for Articles on Accounting and Business Administration. Coinciding with the Global Money Week, the “FinEduca360: Youth for Youth” project continues its work of bringing financial education closer to ESO and Baccalaureate students in Asturias. These talks, titled “My finances: How to take care of them?”, aim to provide young people with key tools to manage their money responsibly.
Our research group is organizing two new University Extension Classes as part of the FinEduca360 project: “Finance and entrepreneurship” and “Personal finance and financial education”. These free-access initiatives aim to bring financial literacy closer to the Asturian population and are part of the Financial Education Plan of the Bank of Spain, the National Securities Market Commission, and the Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Business.
This morning, Eduardo José Menéndez Alonso, a member of our research group, was interviewed on the program Más de Uno Cangas del Narcea on Onda Cero Cangas del Narcea to discuss the financial education University Extension Classes we are offering in the area as part of the FinEduca360 project.

Now in its second edition, this initiative continues to bring financial education closer to ESO and Baccalaureate students.
From February 17 to 21, the University of Oviedo hosted the INGENIUM Senior Winter School 2025 at the El Milán Campus, an event integrated within the 10 Days of INGENIUM. This initiative brings together students, faculty, and researchers from various universities within the INGENIUM alliance, aiming to foster international collaboration and interdisciplinary learning.
