One more edition, the META network invites researchers and professionals, related to water, to the XIV Spanish Congress on Water Treatment. Water has, if possible, a greater technical and social significance today, with the validity of the SDGs and the effects of climate change, recently discussed at the Climate Summit, COP26, held in Glasgow (Scotland). The network has now been carrying out this type of biannual event for more than five decades, which are a meeting point and a pleasant discussion. The network has been growing, showing more and more dynamism, as evidenced by the book Calculations in Water Treatments, which was printed in 2019. In this context, we celebrate in Seville this meeting of the Spanish Board of Water Treatment, jointly organized by the Institute of Fat, of the CSIC of Seville; the RNM-271 Chemical Engineering Group of the University of Córdoba and the Department of Physics, Chemistry and Natural Systems of the Pablo Olavide University. As always, we expect a wide participation of colleagues from universities, research centers and companies, in what constitutes a new opportunity to meet again and exchange experiences, as well as to meet other professionals from the world of water, taking up the philosophy of this event. In this way, we wish to continue advancing in the knowledge of this resource and also, as in previous editions, enjoy an atmosphere of friendship and closeness that has always presided over these events.
