New materials
New biomaterials are key subjects to have new structural solids like nanocelluloses, in the food industry lide having materials from blood plasma, but also in the health one. As an example, the obtention of scaffolds for tissue engineering is an interesting engineering field, for example using human plasma to have well growth of in the designed films.
A second big subject is the obtentions of materials for catalysis or adsorption from industrial wastes, looking to have an advantage of their complex composition(M. Rendueles, I. Marcet, P. Oulego, M.Díaz)

Application of new materials
The materials being developed need to be tested in the applications that were previously planned. Some of the applications were in the field of the processes engineering, in particular in the catalysis in liquid phase for environmental processes.
