Lydia Castellanos Hevia has a degree in Social Work from the University of Oviedo (2021) and a Master’s Degree in Occupational Risk Prevention from the Camilo José Cela University (2022). During 2023, she participated as contract staff in the COMENSAL Consortium “Food Sustainability” of the Scientific Missions of the Principality of Asturias. She is currently a pre-doctoral student in the Department of Sociology at the University of Oviedo, with regional funding thanks to the “Severo Ochoa” Programme for training in research and teaching of the Principality of Asturias (2022). The thesis project, entitled “Policies against food insecurity: the challenge of eating healthily while being poor”, is directed by Cecilia Díaz Méndez and Sandra Sánchez Sánchez.
