PhD in Sociology, educated at Oviedo, Salamanca, Madrid, and Rome.

Professor attached to the University of Oviedo’s Department and Field of Sociology.

Since 2012 he has held the position of Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Commerce, Tourism, and Social Sciences at the University of Oviedo–Gijón Campus.

He has mainly taught General Sociology, Sociology of Education, and Social Policy. He is currently a lecturer in the Social Work degree course in Sociology and Social Policy. He has taught on the University of Oviedo’s Master’s Degree in Social Policy and Welfare, as well as on the University of Oviedo’s Master’s in Management of Organizations for Cooperation on Development and Social Intervention, and on the Master’s in Social Doctrine of the Church at the Pontifical University of Salamanca. He has been a teacher at university centres linked to the Pontifical University of Salamanca (the Faculty of Computer Science, the Higher Institute of Religious Sciences, and the Higher Institute of Theological Studies of Oviedo).
